Apply directly to the eyelashes from root to tip. Layer coats for a more dramatic effect. To remove, use a waterproof makeup cleanser. Best results seen when used in conjunction with BetterLash Growth Serum.

Tips to Removing Waterproof Mascara:

Use a waterproof eye makeup remover (one with an oil in it is best). Apply remover to a cotton pad and repeatedly wipe the eyes gently. You will notice the tiny fibers and the mascara gradually wipe away onto the cotton pad. Repeat until all mascara has been removed.

How do I apply BetterLash Enriching Mascara?

Before applying BetterLash Enriching Mascara, ensure the eye area is clean and dry. Apply the product to your upper lash and lower lashes, allow it to seep into your lash follicles. Let the product completely dry.

How often do I apply BetterLash Enriching Mascara?

BetterLash Enriching Mascara can be worn on a daily basis.

What is the difference between BetterLash Enriching Mascara and other growth mascaras?

BetterLash is completely clean, it does NOT contain any hormones or prostaglandins that have been shown to have side effects such as iris color change, eyelid darkening, eye inflammation, dry eye, redness, itching and watering.

Synthetic prostaglandins have many different names, a few common ones used in serums are:  Isopropanol Phenyl-hydroxy-pentene Dihydroxy-cyclopentyl-heptenate (Isopropyl cloprostenate); Dechloro Dihydroxy Difluoro Ethylcloprostenolamide and Bitamoprost.

BetterLash Enriching Mascara does NOT CONTAIN:

Hormones, Petrochemicals, Parabens, Sulphates, Phthalates, Sodium Chloride, Palm Oil, Ethanolamine Compounds (MEA, DEA, TEA), Gluten or Artificial Colors.

What if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

BetterLash Enriching Mascara has not been tested on pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, therefore, please consult your physician first.

What if I’m having cancer treatment?

Always check with your treating doctor first.  We recommend you wait 6 months after your final chemotherapy treatment before using BetterLash Enriching Mascara as it may inhibit the serum from working to its full potential. We also suggest you start slowly and commence using BetterLash Enriching Mascara every 2 days, to ensure there is no sensitivity occurring due to the cancer treatment.

What if I have eyelash extensions?

BetterLash Enriching Mascara is water based, instead of oil based, which is much more friendly for eyelash extensions. You can use BetterLash Enriching Mascara with eyelash extensions; however, it is best to wait 2 days after having extensions applied to make sure the glue has dried properly. Remember to apply the product to your eyelid skin and not your actual lashes. By applying BetterLash Enriching Mascara every second day, the vitamins will help strengthen and lengthen your own lashes to create a support structure to attach the extensions to, all whilst protecting your own lashes from the glue and weight of the extensions.

What if my eyes become sensitive?

Although our ingredients are gentle, some people may experience mild sensitivity when commencing use of BetterLash Enriching Mascara, if this occurs it is usually due to over applying the product, so please cease use until symptoms have subsided. Once the eye area has returned to normal you can restart use of BetterLash Enriching Mascara every second day. Your results may take a little longer, but they will still work. If your eyes are still sensitive to the product we recommend discontinuing use.

When will I see results?

You should start to notice results within 4-8 weeks with the full effect taking place around 12 weeks. After this period, we suggest you apply BetterLash Enriching Mascara every 2 days for maintenance, to keep your lashes long and full. If you stop using the product, your lashes will eventually return to their prior natural state, so keep applying it regularly for optimum results.

Is BetterLash Growth Serum Vegan, Gluten Free and Cruelty-Free?

Yes to all of the above.

Can I apply BetterLash Enriching Mascara to my lower lashes?

Yes, BetterLash Enriching Mascara does not contain hormones, which is has been linked to eye-darkening symptoms. You are free and safe to use BetterLash Enriching Mascara on your lower lashes.

Why am I not seeing results?You haven't used it long enough. It is possible to see results around 2 weeks, but could take up to 6-8 weeks. Everyone is different, it is important to stay persistent to see results.

Using oil-based products around the eye area. BetterLash Serums are water-based, so oil-based products can create issues with the serum working properly. For example, using an oil-based make up remover can leave oil residue that blocks the serum from penetrating your skin. We recommend using an oil-free make up remover or ensuring that all oil is removed before applying our serums. 

Using BetterLash Enriching Mascara immediately after or with a hormone-based serum.If you've used a hormone-based serum in the past, be sure to allow 4 weeks between the time you last used the hormone-based serum and starting to use ours. The combination may delay results.

Using old product.It is possible that your results may fade with an older tube. Like any other mascara, you'll want a fresh tube every 2 months for clean and effective results.
